The current Ridgeland-Wilson Fire Department is a dedicated volunteer force committed to serving and protecting our community. Comprising brave and selfless individuals, the department operates from its expanded fire hall, equipped with modern facilities to handle a variety of emergencies. Despite the challenges, these volunteers consistently demonstrate unwavering dedication, responding to fires, accidents, and other crises with professionalism and care.
The Ridgeland-Wilson Fire Department is committed to maintaining and updating its equipment to ensure the highest level of service and safety for the community. Our department continually invests in modern firefighting gear, advanced technology, and state-of-the-art apparatus to effectively respond to emergencies. Check out our newest investment! This is a water tender that can carry 1555 gallons per trip.

History Of The Ridgeland Wilson Fire Dept
The Ridgeland Fire Department has a storied history dating back to 1936 when the first fire station was established on land generously donated by Farmers State Bank. In 1952, Ridgeland and Wilson joined forces to create the Ridgeland-Wilson Fire Department, operating from a modest two-stall building at the site of the current fire hall. Approximately 20 years later, two additional stalls were added to accommodate the growing needs of the community. Today, the fire hall stands as a testament to the dedication and cooperation that have defined the department's service to Ridgeland and Wilson for decades.
